I have always loved growing things. I grew up with my parents owning a greenhouse & flower shop business and my dad always had a large garden. So, it was natural for me to be involved in gardening as I got older and eventually I took over my dad’s large garden.

It was in 2010, when my 35 year old, fit, healthy wife was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, that I decided to change the way that I garden. Until that time I was a conventional gardener. I got my seeds wherever I could and I used all the products that science had developed. I used Round-Up to kill weeds, I used chemical fertilizers and I used dangerous chemical pesticides. At the time I didn’t know of any reasons not to use the chemicals that were made for gardening and approved for use by the FDA and other government agencies.Kim and Eric in Japan

I quickly found out that one way I could help my wife and family to stay healthy was to cut out the chemicals and make sure I was growing GMO-free plants. So I did a complete 180 and researched and studied and learned what I had to do to grow all of our produce All-Natural, GMO-Free, Organic! Needless to say, I’ve learned a lot in the last 5 years, and it is amazing how healthy of a garden you can grow without using any chemicals.

My friends and neighbors have been watching me garden in unusual ways and they have been very interested in what I’ve been doing. They’ve asked lots of questions and they’ve tasted a difference in the vegetables I produce. More and more people have been asking about my vegetables and if I have any extra they would be able to purchase. So many in fact, that I have expanded my garden and I have decided to offer my vegetables for sale and I have also developed a CSA program for those people that may want to have fresh vegetables on hand every week! I am also developing an education program so I can teach other people how to grow their own safe vegetables.
